The members of the DEC, currently supervised by Baron Luc Bertrand, have the statutory mission of helping the Institute to achieve its goals.
The DEC can make useful suggestions to the Board of Directors regarding the development and funding of specific activities and carry out missions assigned by the board.
The DEC involves natural and legal persons appointed by the Board of Directors. Each appointed legal person names one representative for the DEC.
DEC members gather once a year in the Institute's premises and are regularly informed about its activies by means of newsletters which are also available online in PDF format.
The Friends of the de Duve Institute are invited each year to visit our Institute and examine the allotment and results of sponsorship. A group leader of the Institute shows the results of his/her research and sponsors have the opportunity to meet scientists.
