The de Duve Month has been created to replace the Gala evening that the Institute postponed to Thursday 25th March 2021 as a precaution following the COVID-19 pandemic.
This de Duve Month, which will take place from October 1 to October 31, 2020, is a month of private events, graciously organized by Friends of the Institute in order to raise funds benefitting fundamental research, so invisible and yet so essential! The money raised will be given to the 280 researchers to help them practicing the motto of the Duve Institute: "Better knowledge for better cure".
Without fundamental research, there is no clinical research. Without clinical research, we are no longer making progress in treating and curing disease.
Good news: the Belgian Government has decided to increase the tax deductibility from 45% to 60% for the year 2020, for any donation of 40 euros and more, while doubling the ceiling from 10% to 20% of net taxable income.
