31/01/1922 - 25/11/2015
Spouse of Michel de Visscher, one of the de Duve Institute founders (called ‘ICP’, for Institute of Cellular Pathology, at the time), Line de Visscher was emotionally attached to our Institute which she generously supported personally and by persuading her close relatives to do so. When her husband was still alive, she regularly hosted the members of the laboratory of Michel de Visscher at home, a tradition that she perpetuated for many years after his passing in 1981. She regularly took part in our meetings and our annual Gala, thus kindly demonstrating her interest in our progress.
A great lady has passed away. We know how the Institute was close to her heart.
She will certainly stay in the heart of all those who had the opportunity to know and approach her.
